Ancient texts. Stone monuments. Forgotten artifacts emerging from the mist of time. The earth. The myths. The obsessive quests. The boundaries of man. The Age of Space. Things earthly and unearthy. The distinct and unexpected features of comet 67P / Churyumov-Gerasimenko. Astrobiology. The search for extraterrestrial life. The signs on Earth. The alternation between life and death. The present. The past. The deep past. The evolutionary spiral leading us into the future. The stored information of forgone realities. Has all this happened before? The decoding of the messages. The path that connects the Divine with Nothingness. The birth of life. Are we the first to come here?
Just a few months after the "Substunce Sans Scrupule" collaborative LP with Jean-Marc Foussat, Georgios Karamanolakis returns to Coherent States with the genuine ingredients that created it. "Sacred Path" is an immersion within four mystical compositions. It is an intense spiritual journey that begins with the tranquil and hypnotic atmosphere that takes over in "Sacred Path", methodically building into the cold and distant ceremonial space ambience of "Mortal Path", violently collapsing into a -borderline HNW- harsh and ecstatic "Children of the Gods" and ending with the immensely claustrophobic "Return to the Stars". At this point, two things are clearly exhibited: Karamanolakis outstanding ability to create unified soundscapes with the use of numerous and highly specialized machines (such as EMS Synthi, Modified Yamaha TG33, Roland Space Echo, Casio FZ10M, SY35 Vocoder Synth, cassette tapes, toys), as well as his pure sentimental approach combined with those concerns that lead "Sacred Path" into a quest for answers to the vast and unexplored universe.
Ίσως το τώρα να είναι χτες.
Ίσως να ήμασταν απο πάντα εδώ.
Ίσως κάποτε να βρεθούμε εκεί.
Ίσως να επιστρέψουμε ξανά στη Γη.
